Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Badge Enrollment in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and assist tenants and visitors with professionalism. Use your communication and customer service skills to report concerns and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious or unusual conditions to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
