Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service while communicating professionally with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction and industrial work areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain visitor and contractor activity records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when required.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities in clear written reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
