3rd Shift Material Handler

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all material handling and control operations for Shipping and Receiving
• Operate company vehicle to make pick-ups and deliveries of material between local community and plant (seldom over 5 mile radius)
• Use mechanized and manual material handling aids as necessary to transport and position material following established methods and procedures
• Locate and identify items. Count and/or verify count as necessary. Stack items on pallets or load into bins as required
• Receive incoming materials such as compounds, wire, and store for future use
• Transport, move and handle material within department as required
• Exercise care in handling and stacking items to avoid injuries to others, damages to supplies, product or equipment
• Check fuel, lubricate, and coolant in equipment
• Detect and report defective material, faulty operation and unusual conditions to supervision
• Follow prescribed Safety Regulations
• Assists with all/any other projects as required

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of MRP Systems (preferably Oracle)
• Experience in warehouse processes
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time
• Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail
