Description
Primary Function: Process delivery driver paperwork and reconcile driver truck inventory daily. Support customer service function processing orders from customers and salespeople
- Perform administrative functions including data entry and payment processing.
- Works to resolve customer phoned in inquiries.
- Summarizes and verifies accuracy of driver bank deposits daily.
- Balances end of day reports to driver check-in report
- Follow up with customer to see that complaints were satisfactory resolved and report to management any major concern or unresolved issues.
- Explain to customer by telephone or email action taken on complaint.
- Routes orders for filling and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
- Informs customers of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
- Tracks and resolves open invoices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong detail orientation and communication/listening skills
- Strong problem solving skills is a MUST
- Ability to provide excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Understands a sense of urgency around resolving customer orders and concerns.
- Possess a strong work ethic, team player mentality and positive attitude.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel.
- Must have professional attitude and be able to deal with confidential material.
- Ability to work and make decisions effectively in an environment in which situations can arise and change quickly.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-task environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to type 45 w.p.m.

About Alliance Beverage:
Chicago native Larry Gary settled in Hastings, MI, where he owned and operated a bowling alley. In 1963, Larry and his wife, Joan, decided a change was in order; they moved to the Grand Rapids area, where Larry founded Kent Beverage.
Detroit native Tim Sullivan, along with his brother Mike, founded Sullivan Brothers Construction on the east side of the state. However, after seeing his friends thrive in the beer distribution business, Tim decided to make a change, purchasing Grand Rapids' B&B Beer in 1977.
Both companies grew and flourished, passing from one generation to the next, each strengthening its roots in Michigan. Eventually, over a shared pint, the Gary and Sullivan families envisioned a stronger future together. On May 13, 2013, Kent Beverage and B&B Beer merged, forming Alliance Beverage—a company committed to being the “Preferred Distributor” for everyone it interacts with.
