Location: Bronx and Long Island City (On-Site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20–$22/hour, based on experience
Reports to: Director of Operations
Fluent in English and Spanish (Required)

About the Role
Kommissary is a social enterprise on a mission to spread joy through food. We produce and deliver high volumes of meals spanning a diverse array of cuisines to every demographic in New York City. We're looking for a bilingual Customer Support Specialist to join our call center team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our English- and Spanish-speaking customers, providing friendly, accurate, and efficient support over the phone and by email.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries in both English and Spanish
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, questions, and complaints professionally
• Accurately document customer interactions and update account records in the CRM
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor when needed
• Meet or exceed individual performance metrics (call quality, handle time, customer satisfaction)
• Follow company scripts, policies, and procedures while maintaining a natural, helpful tone
• Stay current on product/service knowledge, promotions, and policy changes

Requirements

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (required — verbal and written)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of customer service or call center experience preferred
• Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using computers and CRM software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and patience
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
