Position Overview
United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Manager, Medical Education to oversee the operational management and administration of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Department, including medical residency and fellowship programs. This role is responsible for ensuring all GME programs are administered in compliance with United Health Services (UHS) policies, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.The Manager, Medical Education serves as a key partner to program directors, faculty, residents, fellows, and institutional leadership, providing oversight of program operations, accreditation activities, regulatory compliance, budget administration, and program development initiatives. This position works collaboratively to support an exceptional learning environment, ensure program excellence, and advance the organization's commitment to physician education and workforce development.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, support accreditation readiness, and drive continuous improvement across graduate medical education programs.

- Supervise Medical Education staff, including day-to-day oversight, performance management, professional development, evaluations, and employee relations matters.
- Manage and oversee GME operating budgets totaling approximately $7 million, ensuring fiscal responsibility and effective resource utilization.
- Serve as a key resource and advisor to the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), Program Directors, faculty, residents, and institutional leadership.
- Direct and monitor compliance with accreditation requirements for residency and fellowship programs.
- Coordinate institutional and program-level accreditation activities.
- Manage the daily operations of residency and fellowship programs.
- Ensure programs maintain compliance with accreditation standards through effective documentation, reporting, and continuous quality improvement processes.
- Lead recruitment activities for assigned residency and fellowship programs, including applicant review, interview coordination, ranking processes, and Match participation.
- Manage visa sponsorship processes for International Medical Graduates, including J-1 and H-1B visa applications, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Lead and participate in special projects and strategic initiatives designed to enhance GME operations, accreditation readiness, and educational outcomes.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, business, human services or other related field with 5+ years training and/or equivalent training/experience.
Preferred:
- Three or more years of administrative responsibility in a graduate medical education program
