Description

Réalta Technologies is seeking a Small Equipment Systems Engineer to support leading biotechnology manufacturing client of ours in Limerick.
This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on the implementation, administration and lifecycle support of laboratory and manufacturing equipment systems.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering and technical support for laboratory and manufacturing small equipment systems across the biotech site.
  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot offline systems including NOVA, FIT, Solo and LabX platforms.
  • Support commissioning, qualification and validation activities for new equipment and system implementations in line with GMP requirements.
  • Administer Windows-based systems, including user account management, Active Directory integration, antivirus management and software patching.
  • Review, shadow and approve third-party vendors during equipment qualification and system implementation activities.
  • Support the integration of small equipment with site historians and manufacturing systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data flow.
  • Maintain system documentation, SOPs, configuration records and change control documentation in compliance with site quality standards.
Job Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, IT or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting laboratory or manufacturing small equipment within a pharmaceutical or biotech GMP environment.
  • Working knowledge of offline laboratory systems such as NOVA, FIT, Solo and LabX.
  • Previous pharmaceutical or biotech start-up experience, including commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Strong understanding of Windows system administration, including Active Directory, antivirus solutions, patch management and general IT infrastructure.
  • High-level understanding of industrial historians and system integration concepts, with experience supporting connected manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively onsite alongside equipment vendors and cross-functional teams.
