Manages Department of Pediatrics research related purchasing operation and provides day to day oversight.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages research related purchasing workflow, including assignment of duties and responsibilities to the accounting coordinators.
- Maintains awareness of purchasing/transaction volume and proactively reassigns transaction processing responsibilities to ensure all transactions are processed in a timely manner and that workload is allocated equitably among staff.
- Provides day to day oversight of financial transactions, assuring proper coding and documentation of all expenditures.
- Maintains a thorough up to date knowledge of university policies and procedures, as well as Uniform Guidance cost allowability regulations. Facilitates financial processes to ensure, efficient, accurate and timely completion of all transactions.
- Monitors the oversight and processing of financial transactions, including check requests, purchase orders, subcontract payments, interdepartmental invoices, free balance invoices, travel reports and travel advances, procurement card transactions, journal entries and wire transfers.
- May have a small portfolio and will serve as a backup for direct reports.
- Reviews purchases for addition to floater insurance inventory as appropriate. In consultation with department manager/area director, determines appropriate account/grant fund to be charged.
- Meets regularly with research purchasing staff and Manager of Research and Core Services.
- Manages oversight of research procard.
- Manages gift cards purchased for clinical research studies and works with purchasers and research teams.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
