BDO’s Business Services division delivers advisory, tax and compliance solutions that help clients achieve their business and personal goals. Our clients include fast-growing businesses, corporate groups and high-net-worth individuals across a diverse range of industries.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an accomplished Manager or Senior Manager to join our Adelaide team.

This opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional who enjoys solving complex business and taxation challenges, building trusted client relationships and developing others. Working closely with our Partners, you will provide technical leadership on complex client matters, mentor and coach team members, and contribute to the continued success and growth of one of Adelaide’s leading Business Services teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor, delivering accounting, tax and business advisory solutions.

• Partner with clients and Partners on complex structuring, tax and growth initiatives.

• Review complex financial statements, tax returns and compliance obligations.

• Provide tax planning, structuring and commercial advice aligned to client needs.

• Lead, coach and mentor Assistant Managers and emerging leaders.

• Maintain technical excellence through review and quality assurance of client work.

• Lead strategic client discussions and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

• Oversee workflow, resourcing and engagement delivery.

• Support business development, client retention and team growth initiatives.

• Foster a collaborative, high-performing and knowledge-sharing culture.

You will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification.

• Experience within a professional services or public practice environment.

• Advanced expertise across accounting, taxation and business advisory services.

• Experience advising privately owned businesses, family groups and corporate clients.

• Demonstrated capability leading complex client engagements.

• Strong commercial judgement and strategic thinking.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

• A collaborative and authentic leadership style.

• The ability to influence, mentor and develop high-performing teams.
