Description
Maintains inventory of all district instructional materials; processes all instructional materials orders and dual credit orders.Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Complies with the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession; upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives, regulations, GISD school board policies, as well as local, state and federal regulations
Maintains a computerized inventory of all district instructional materials
Processes instructional materials orders.
Processes orders for Dual Credit.
Acts as co-contact person with NMSU/DACC, publishers and the state book depository.
Insures that proper district identification is attached to all instructional materials.
Assists in the delivery of instructional materials when needed.
Conducts spot-checks to verify instructional materials inventories at schools.
Places work orders in system for pickup and delivery of items from the schools to include books, Gaylord boxes, and other items.
Requests, receives, and assists in distribution of adoption sample materials.
Maintains schools instructional materials budgets.
Provides schools with monthly statements and copies of requisitions for the month.
Prepares appropriate forms to request transfer of funds as needed and submits to PED.
Prepares quarterly reports for 30%(cash) reimbursements and submits to PED.
Updates and distributes annually to schools the Curriculum Materials List and Request for Issue of district adopted materials.
Attends adoption presentations and committee meetings upon finalizing of district textbook adoptions.
Assists school personnel with information on purchasing of instructional materials.
Assists Home/School parents with information and requests of discarded materials.
Prepares forms for Sale of Instructional Materials as needed and submits to PED for approval.
Provides schools with instructions and PED Form III-for reporting of obsolete, worn out and disposal of instructional materials, and amount collected for Lost & Damaged books.
Processes Purchase Orders for above amounts and submits check and forms to PED by June 30.
Prepares and finalizes end-of-year instructional materials inventories for individual schools and submits to PED by June 30.
Maintains professional competence through personal in-service training activities and/or professional growth activities.
Maintains a courteous and effective relationship with district personnel and others.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
