SUMMARY
The Electrical Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading all electrical manufacturing operations while supporting the strategic growth of Bridgeways' aerospace manufacturing capabilities. This role provides technical leadership, develops manufacturing processes, drives continuous improvement, and ensures departmental goals related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and financial performance are achieved.

The Electrical Manufacturing Manager partners closely with Quality, Estimating, Business Development, and Manufacturing Leadership to support new business opportunities, improve manufacturing capabilities, and position Bridgeways for future growth. As the departmental subject matter expert, this position represents Bridgeways during customer tours, audits, strategic planning initiatives, and business development opportunities while continuously evaluating ways to expand departmental capabilities and improve operational performance.

Position: Full-time

Pay: $74,520 - $100,000/ annually

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead all Electrical Manufacturing operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Leads and Manufacturing Technicians.
  • Build departmental accountability and engagement.
  • Conduct hiring, performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary actions, and succession planning.
  • Develop cross-training strategies to improve workforce flexibility.
Production & Department Management:
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor labor utilization, throughput, and productivity.
  • Balance workload and staffing resources.
  • Identify capacity constraints and develop solutions.
  • Develop departmental operating plans.
Technical Leadership:
  • Serve as the technical leader for Electrical Manufacturing.
  • Develop new electrical manufacturing capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement new tooling and fixtures.
  • Improve workflow and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support implementation of new technologies and equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of current IPC standards and electrical manufacturing best practices.
Business Development and Customer Support:
  • Partner with the Lead Estimator during RFQ review and manufacturability assessments.
  • Develop labor estimates and manufacturing approaches.
  • Participate in customer visits and facility tours.
  • Present departmental capabilities to prospective customers.
  • Support new business development initiatives.
Financial Accountability:
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets.
  • Prepare and justify capital expenditure requests.
  • Monitor labor efficiency and departmental financial performance.
  • Meet productivity and efficiency goals.
  • Support margin improvement initiatives.
Quality and Continuous Improvement:
  • Support AS9100 and ISO9001 compliance.
  • Drive process standardization.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support audits, corrective actions, and customer requirements.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Must be able to pass Background check in accordance with Customer Guidelines and Requirements. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of electrical manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years leading manufacturing teams.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience required.
  • Space manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting RFQs and manufacturing estimates preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IPC standards.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead independently with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to develop and manage departmental budgets.
  • Experience preparing capital expenditure requests.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing metrics and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to support customer audits and facility tours.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (ProShop preferred).
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and employee development.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read, interpret, and explain technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to diverse teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for directing staff and collaborating across departments.
  • Comfortable presenting production status, KPIs, and performance summaries to leadership.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.

  • Employees may be exposed to moderate to high noise levels, moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, and temperature variations typical of a production setting.
