Hospital Custodian

Location: Athens, TX
Pay: $13–$14 per hour

Job Overview

We are hiring a dependable Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient areas, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.

• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to hospital procedures.

• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including door handles and counters.

• Restock paper products, soap, and other cleaning supplies.

• Follow hospital sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.

• Properly handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Report maintenance issues, spills, or safety hazards.

• Perform other cleaning duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift.

• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.

• Healthcare cleaning experience is a plus.

Pay Rate: $13–$14 per hour
