Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Welders/Fitters/Fabricators for projects located in the Tacoma, WA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $32/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Perform dual-shield, wire-feed, stick, and flux-core welding
- Weld using 7018 stick electrodes and .045 wire as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Fit, tack, align, and assemble metal components prior to welding
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel, tanks, and other metal products
- Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fabrication
- Grind welds and metal surfaces to meet quality requirements
- Work with a variety of metals and materials according to project specifications
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all jobsite and shop safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous welding, fitting, or metal fabrication experience required
- Experience with dual-shield, wire-feed, stick welding, and/or flux-core welding
- Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and fabrication drawings
- Experience with fitting, tack welding, cutting, grinding, measuring, and assembly
- Must possess a current WABO or ASME qualification for vertical and overhead welding, or be able to pass the required weld test
- Ability to maintain quality and productivity standards in fabrication and welding environments
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
