Associate Director, Government Reporting

Location: Wilmington, DE

The Associate Director, Government Reporting provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for accurate, timely, and compliant U.S. Government Pricing calculations, analysis, review, and submissions across approximately 200 NDCs spanning AstraZeneca and Alexion’s Biopharmaceuticals, Oncology, and Rare Disease portfolios.

As Associate Director, Government Reporting, you will provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for accurate, timely, and compliant Government Pricing calculations, analyses, and submissions across the AstraZeneca and Alexion U.S. portfolios. Your work will ensure that contracts, rebates, chargebacks, fees, product lifecycle events, and all price concessions are reflected correctly in government programs—protecting compliance, informing commercial decisions, and supporting patient access.

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior partners, bringing education, financial modeling, and business analysis to guide pricing and contracting strategy. By anticipating legislative change and translating it into operational plans, you will help the business move at pace while maintaining impeccable standards and audit readiness.

  • Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of Market Access including pricing, contracting, strategies, customer designations, and initiatives around system and data enhancements.
  • Influence key partner decisions within AstraZeneca on the impact of commercial pricing and contracting strategies to Federal Supply Schedule Contracts, Medicaid, Medicare, and 340B programs.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all Managed Care contracting activities to understand potential impact on AMP, BP, ASP, 340B and unit rebate amounts used in state claims in accordance with CMS and Federal legislation.
  • Lead or support initiatives related to Legislative Drug Pricing change (i.e., Inflation Reduction Act) or other key projects and/or initiatives, ensuring that the Government Reporting team is prepared to implement new regulations, models and/or methodology changes as they are implemented.
  • Partner with Associate Directors and Contract Directors within Contract Strategy and Market Access Operations to understand current contracting activity and be able to translate potential impact to Government Pricing calculations.
  • Develop and deliver Government Pricing training programs, including technical training for government pricing staff and managerial programs for pricing issues throughout AstraZeneca.
  • Maintain appropriate controls, documentation, and governance over Government Pricing processes to support audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and/or oversee Government Pricing calculations and analyses, including AMP, ASP, BP, PHS, and NFAMP; evaluate trends, metrics, and key risks; and communicate insights to relevant collaborators.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submissions to government agencies and provide leadership updates on reporting status, key findings, risks, and required actions.
  • Support requirements gathering, testing, validation, and implementation of system or data enhancements affecting Government Pricing calculations.
  • Represent AstraZeneca at relevant industry meetings related to Government contracting and Medicaid.
