Job Description:
Job Summary
The Brokerage Officer is responsible for coordinating and monitoring import and export customs clearance activities to ensure shipments are processed accurately,
efficiently, and in compliance with applicable customs regulations. The role requires effective communication with customers, government authorities, service providers,
and internal stakeholders while maintaining high standards of service quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily import and export customs clearance activities.
- Liaise with customers, Customs authorities, government agencies, carriers, and internal teams on clearance-related matters.
- Track shipment status and proactively follow up on pending clearances, permits, and operational exceptions.
- Ensure timely submission of customs-related documents and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve shipment, clearance, and documentation issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare operational reports, shipment status updates, and other business correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records and filing of customs documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders via email, telephone, and meetings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Customs Brokerage
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
