Reports to -   Logistics Manager

Supervise -   Distribution Team

Business -   Logistics - Supply Chain & Operations


Job Summary:


This position is responsible for day-to-day distribution service at Thailand Operations Complex (TOC). Distribution services include product deliveries, fleet and the associated operation of a distribution center. The Transportation Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of delivery drivers / delivery assistants and Distribution Planning team including seamlessly coordinating with Warehouse Operations team, along with guiding the team to achieve day-to-day productivity and KPIs such as OTIF / Shipping Accuracy, Zero Misload and etc., follow road & transport safety and local regulations / laws, and comply with company’s QSHE requirements.


This key position contributes to the performance and success of management experience, exceptional communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage personnel, distribution service, and safety. Incumbent must also demonstrate the ability to lead, being detail-oriented, strong personality with continuous improvement and CAN-DO attitude.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage day-to-day distribution service in terms of executing product deliveries, fleet and the associated operation of a distribution center (TOC) and 3PLs.
  • Develop personnel while ensuring exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, resolve problems, and address staff needs.
  • Monitor daily service level in terms of Distribution performances.
  • Monitor productivity level through daily reports and delivery tracking system / tools.
  • Manage and maintain a fleet of trucks and equipment.
  • Responsible for enforcing all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct investigations to determine root causes of accidents along with ways to improve safety operations.
  • Work in a team-based atmosphere to reach commercial and other supply chain related objectives.
  • Work closely with Warehouse, Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, Operations, and other key stakeholders to achieve cost saving and CTS reduction target.
  • Support customer and supplier complaint handling processes and suggest actions for effective corrective / preventive measures.
  • Ensure that all business activities are executed according to the process description as specified in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Implement change, coach, and develop team members to enable continuous improvement in Logistics and Distribution.
  • Undertake other duties as may be assigned by superiors.

Job Requirement / Specification:


  • Bachelor’s Degree (or above) in Logistics, Engineering, or related fields
  • 10+ years of team managing or supervising experience in Logistics or Transportation or Distribution field with proven track records in Logistics Operations Improvement projects
  • Transport Safely Manager (TSM) certificate is required
  • Professional certificate in Logistics/Supply Chain Management is a plus
