Hexcel is currently seeking a Non-Metallic Corrugator Operator for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. Start rate: $27.84 Per Hour during the New Hire Orientation Period – normally 90 calendar days, then increases to $30.02 Per Hour. This position is on Swing shift (3:00PM to 11:00PM, Monday – Friday + O/T as required) and pays a $1.75 per hour shift premium. Overtime is often required.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
· Performs a wide variety of tasks associated with web corrugated products to test, adjust, regulate and control processes on the line. These include maintaining the platen temperature, line speed, tape system, brake system, gap and sheeting.
· Verifies that chemicals are within required operating parameters.
· Loads machines with foil, prepregs, tape, and chemicals. Adjusts machine temperature, speed, air pressures, and sheet length.
· Measures and/or checks material visually or physically to determine quality of process. Ensures that products meet customer specifications and expectations.
· Monitors processes to ensure product is being built per WCI’s and Job Routers. Inspects and presents to internal customers products that meet or exceed the product specifications.
· Actively participates in all 6S and TPM activities.
· Works in a team environment to reach consensus decisions within the guidelines and boundaries established by the company and maintains constructive relationships with co-workers.
· Operates at all times in compliance with the Hexcel Casa Grande Quality System and Quality Policy. Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
· Minimum of one year experience required preferably in manufacturing. Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience in the Hexcel Casa Grande facility may substitute in lieu of one year experience.
· Must be proficient in use of tape measure and ruler.
· Basic working knowledge of computer data entry function preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
