Supporting young people aged 16 to 24 years, our program provides a safe, structured and therapeutic environment where participants can focus on recovery, strengthen their wellbeing and develop the skills needed to thrive.

We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Residential Youth Workers to join our team in the following opportunities:

Fixed-Term Contract (3 months): 30.4 hours per week

Permanent Part-Time: 34.2 hours per week

Permanent Part-Time: 15.2 hours per week

These roles work across a 24/7 roster and provide support across both our residential rehabilitation program and withdrawal unit, offering a unique opportunity to support young people at different stages of their recovery journey.

Through positive role modelling, practical life skills development and meaningful day-to-day support, you'll help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can build confidence, develop independence and work towards lasting positive change.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide compassionate support and supervision to young people always ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Support the intake, admission and orientation process for new participants entering the program.
  • Facilitate and support activities that build interpersonal, life and independent living skills.
  • Assist with recreational, educational and therapeutic group activities.
  • Work alongside participants to complete household tasks, maintain living environments and support meal preparation.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, including progress notes, incident reports and behavioural documentation
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and other team members to support case planning and participant goals.
  • Respond effectively to incidents and challenging situations in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Support participants during appointments, outings and community-based activities.
  • Manage participant concerns and complaints appropriately and professionally.

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant qualification and/or experience working with young people in a community, residential or human services setting.
