Position
The Key Account Manager (KAM) owns the retention, commercial growth, and long-term success of NorthStar's existing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) customer relationships within the radiopharmaceutical therapy (radioligand therapy / targeted radiotherapeutics) space. This individual serves as the primary commercial point of contact for an assigned portfolio of active biopharma and biotech customers across the development, clinical, and commercial lifecycle of radiotherapeutic programs, from existing clinical-supply agreements through commercial launch and long-term supply.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary commercial lead for assigned CDMO customer accounts, building executive-level relationships and acting as the voice of the customer across NorthStar.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive customer retention, account growth, contract renewals, and long-term partnership success.
- Identify, negotiate, and close expansion opportunities within existing accounts, including new programs, services, manufacturing capacity, and development-to-commercial transitions.
- Lead commercial negotiations for contracts, pricing, renewals, amendments, change orders, and scope expansions in collaboration with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Manage account revenue forecasts, opportunity pipelines, growth plans, and renewal activities to achieve commercial objectives.
- Partner closely with Program Management, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Technical teams to ensure customer commitments are successfully delivered and customer issues are effectively resolved.
- Lead Executive Business Reviews and commercial strategy discussions, providing customer insights, market intelligence, competitive positioning, and growth recommendations.
Early Development
After 3 months you will:
- Develop a working understanding of NorthStar’s CDMO capabilities, assigned customer accounts, active programs, contractual commitments, and key internal stakeholders.
- Build initial relationships with Program Management, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, Technical teams, and assigned customer contacts.
- Establish account review routines, CRM discipline, renewal visibility, and escalation pathways for assigned accounts.
After 6 months you will:
- Own and actively manage strategic account plans for assigned customers, including retention risks, renewal timing, growth opportunities, and relationship strategy.
- Lead commercial discussions, customer escalations, and cross-functional account actions with increasing independence and documented follow-through.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, opportunity pipelines, account health updates, and expansion plans that support commercial planning and leadership visibility.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field required.
- Seven (7) years of experience in key account management, strategic account management, or customer success within a CDMO, CMO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment, with primary responsibility for retaining and growing existing customer relationships.
- Demonstrated track record of retaining strategic accounts, growing revenue within an existing customer portfolio, leading contract renewals, and negotiating complex, multi-year commercial agreements.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS preferred.
- Prior experience in radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine, radioligand therapy, or a related regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Working Conditions
Physical demands may include, but not be limited to, specific vision abilities including near vision/acuity and visual color discrimination.
This role may involve working in a controlled cleanroom environment, general office setting, or specific manufacturing areas. Conditions may include:
- Exposure to varying temperatures, both indoors (heated/air-conditioned spaces) and outdoors
- Noise levels range from quiet to loud, depending on the work area
- Specific vision abilities, including near vision, visual acuity, and color discrimination
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and may include:
- Respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and full protective clothing
- Compliance with cleanroom gowning protocols (e.g., removal of all jewelry, including piercings)
- Prohibition of cosmetics, fragrances (perfume, aftershave), and nail products, including polish, artificial nails, or extensions
As a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing site, radiation may be present in the laboratory and production areas. Employees in this role may be required to:
- Follow strict radiation safety procedures
- Participate in dosimetry monitoring and bioassay testing as part of the company protocol
- Inform leadership of any health conditions that may affect product integrity, by cleanroom standards
