About OwnHome
OwnHome is an Australian home loan lender. Our mission is to remove the most significant barrier to homeownership: the deposit.
Many Australians can comfortably meet the repayments on a home loan, but saving a 20% deposit while renting has become increasingly difficult as property prices outpace savings. Many first home buyers rely on family financial support. Those without it often wait longer, pay more, or are unable to enter the market. We believe homeownership should not be determined by family wealth.
Boost, our low-deposit home loan, enables customers to purchase a home years sooner and to start building equity in a home of their own.
OwnHome has received financial investment from CommBank's X15 Ventures, NAB Ventures and Square Peg.
Who we're looking for
We're growing, and we welcome expressions of interest from experienced professionals in the following areas.
Engineering
Our engineers build and run the platform behind every OwnHome loan, from application and credit decisioning through to settlement and servicing. We look for engineers who design for reliability, security and scale, and who understand that in lending, getting it right matters as much as shipping fast.
Compliance and risk
Compliance and Risk protects our customers, our partners and the firm. The team oversees our lending, marketing and customer processes across responsible lending, credit licensing obligations and regulatory change. We look for people with sound judgement, an eye for detail and the experience to give clear advice.
Credit assessment
Credit Assessment sits at the centre of our lending decisions. Assessors review home loan applications rigorously and fairly, balancing the customer's goals with responsible lending standards. We look for experienced credit professionals who take ownership of their decisions and can explain the reasoning behind them.
Operations and strategy
Operations and Strategy keeps the business running well as it grows. The team improves how loans move from application to settlement, sets priorities across teams and turns data into decisions. We look for structured thinkers who can solve problems across functions and see work through to completion.
Business development
Business Development builds and maintains OwnHome's relationships with mortgage brokers, aggregators and referral partners. The team helps partners understand where Boost loans fit for their clients, and supports them through every deal. We look for relationship builders with deep knowledge of the broker market and a long-term view.
Growth and marketing
Growth and Marketing helps more Australians understand OwnHome's loans and services. The team works across performance marketing, content, partnerships and brand, always within the rules for credit advertising. We look for marketers who are both creative and analytical, and who can measure what they do.
