About the Role
Are you a natural leader with a strong eye for detail and a passion for operational excellence? Clean Team is seeking a dedicated, highly motivated Area Manager to oversee daily cleaning operations across our assigned accounts in the Lapeer, MI area.
In this vital leadership role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our clients and frontline cleaning team. You will ensure high-quality service delivery, maintain client satisfaction, and manage team schedules, performance, and training across multiple commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor cleaning associates and supervisors. Provide ongoing support, constructive feedback, and regular performance evaluations.

Quality Assurance: Conduct routine, thorough inspections of assigned client facilities to ensure cleanliness standards strictly align with company and customer expectations.

Operational Oversight: Manage shift coverage, address call-offs, coordinate supply inventory, and optimize daily cleaning schedules to maintain seamless coverage.

Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with facility managers and clients. Proactively address customer requests, concerns, or special service needs promptly.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to company safety policies, proper chemical handling (OSHA/SDS guidelines), and facility security procedures.

Experience: Proven experience in team management, field operations, supervisory roles, or commercial janitorial management.

Organization & Multi-Tasking: Exceptional time-management skills with the proven agility to prioritize tasks and navigate shifting operational demands in a dynamic environment.

Licensing & Travel: A valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record are required for traveling between assigned client sites across the region.
