Forklift Operator PR06U - SM Raw - 2nd Shift

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. 

 

Job Description: 

This role drives a sit-down forklift while delivering products to the warehouse and production floor. Position will likely have housekeeping duties and ensuring cleanliness standards. Position may include periodic weekend and/or holiday work. 

 

Primary Accountabilities: 

• Operate a forklift in a safe and orderly manner. 
• Receive and store incoming items according to warehouse standards. 
• Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled. 
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned area. 
• Maintain records of daily check list (pre-trip inspections). 
• Comply with GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES, safety, audit and food safety standards. 
• Must be able to read and understand manuals, blue prints, plant paperwork, labels, etc. 
• May be required to work with production equipment and associated technologies. 
• The Team Member must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test. 
• Meet performance/productivity standards. 

 

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

• Must be willing and able lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.  
• The Team Member will stand, walk, bend, squat, stretch, climb, push, pull and reach as required in all areas .    
• Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm (80-90°F) to cold (20-40°F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas .
