Microsoft Automation Architect

In this role you will be responsible for building, packaging, and automating highly repeatable IT solutions and auto-config environments. The Digital solution team has a focus on identifying IT problems that exist and designing cloud centric solutions to solve those problems. You will work on a global team gathering requirements from business leaders, partners, and end customers. Workloads will focus around frontier and AI tech from Microsoft but include other vendors as well.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required:

•    Solutions Health check /Ongoing improvement- Gather user and team feedback to create improvement backlog (10%)
•    Automation and packaging- Build Infrastructure as code, build automation run books (Chef/Ansible/Python), Build Powershell Automation Scripts (20%)
•    Creating Technical /Architectural Solution Designs- Design solutions based on business outcomes. Deliver architecture design patterns and requisite licensing needed. (30%)
•    Alignment with Team- Regular cadence and meetings with other team members to understand progress and deliverables. (5%)
•    Troubleshooting (10%)
•    Technical Documentation / Deployment guides- Creation of step-by-step deployment and configuration documentation. (15%)
•    Collaboration with Solutions Management, Product Management and IT Development- Gathering input and data for design of current and future solutions. (10%)
 
Tooling:
•    May include: VS Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Cowork and more.
•    Azure DevOps, Github, Git, etc.

Essential Experience:

•    AI experience beyond chat tools (Development, scoping, business planning, etc.)

•    Working in cross-functional teams- you won't be able to do everything yourself

•    Extensive experience in Partner and Channel ecosystems.

Experience:
•    1 to 3 Years of relevant work experience.

Education & Certifications:
•    Bachelor's Degree with Computer Sciences Field of Study preferred.
•    High School Graduate with Computer Sciences field of study required.
•    Other Education / Certifications: AWS/Microsoft certifications
