Description
Description
The Site Lead is the senior on-site leader of a Thrust Institute of Maintenance (TIM) campus: a certificated A&P mechanic and instructor who owns the delivery of a measurable, repeatable, and compliant maintenance-training program at their location. As the first-line leader for the site's instructional team, the Site Lead is accountable for academic quality and student outcomes, FAA Part 147 operational compliance, and delivery capacity.
This is the entry point of TIM's operational leadership track. Advancement is driven by instructional-track achievement plus demonstrated mentoring, curriculum ownership, and cross-campus coordination — growing academic leadership entirely within TIM.
Instructional Leadership & Academic Quality
- Serve as first-line leader for the site's instructional team; own instructor scheduling, teaching evaluations, coaching, and day-to-day academic quality.
- Deliver assigned course sections and labs to standard, modeling the teaching quality expected across the site.
- Maintain consistent, on-target student pass rates and learning outcomes across the site's programs.
FAA Part 147 & Regulatory Compliance
- Own the site's operational compliance with FAA Part 147
- Maintain continuous audit readiness — records accuracy and documentation kept to a zero-critical-finding standard.
- Ensure Tools & Equipment and training-aid requirements are met and maintained.
Delivery Capacity & Throughput
- Manage instructor scheduling and site capacity to meet enrollment and completion targets without compromising quality.
- Monitor time-to-completion and throughput; identify and clear bottlenecks in the training pipeline.
- Partner with the Site Coordinator on reservations, facilities, tooling, and equipment uptime.
People & Talent Development
- Hire, onboard, evaluate, and develop instructors; build bench depth against the TIM instructor career-pathing model.
- Coach Instructor I and II staff toward Senior Instructor and Lead-track readiness; own retention at the site.
