Salary: $11 824 / course (including vacation pay).


The Department of Anthropology is inviting applications to teach a course in winter 2027. Please complete the online application form and upload the required documents. Applications will be ranked according to the collective agreement between McGill University and MCLIU. Preference will be given to the qualified applicant with the most priority points. ANTH 209 –Anthropology of Religion

Nature and function of religion in culture. Systems of belief; the interpretation of ritual. Religion and symbolism. The relation of religion to social organization. Religious change and social movements.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education: MA required; Priority to holders of Ph.Ds with specialization in relevant areas, or near completion of degree.


Experience: Priority will be given to candidates with relevant field research background and experience in teaching introductory courses in anthropology of religion

 

This course will be taught by one instructor in-person.
