- Coordinate cross-platform dependencies and decisions affecting HCM, Financials, integrations, data, security, reporting, and shared capabilities.
- Lead HCM architecture decisions for shared Workday capabilities and coordinate with the Workday Finance Solution Lead and enterprise teams on decisions that affect their areas.
- Escalate unresolved cross-platform issues, decision conflicts, and risks to IT Portfolio Leadership for direction and resolution.
AI, Agents & Emerging Technology
- Define the Workday HCM architecture, technical approach, and HCM-specific guardrails for AI, Agents, automation, Workday Extend, and emerging capabilities in alignment with enterprise AI, security, data, and architecture standards.
- Co-govern Workday Extend with the Workday Finance Solution Lead, including shared modules, architecture standards, development practices, security, release coordination, and ownership of cross-functional capabilities.
- Partner with IT Portfolio Leadership to identify opportunities while promoting reusable enterprise patterns and standards.
- Evaluate Workday-native and enterprise capabilities for alignment with the Workday HCM architecture, broader Workday ecosystem, and enterprise technology strategy.
Roadmap Execution & Delivery
- Evaluate approved Workday HCM roadmap items in partnership with the IT HCM Portfolio Lead, jointly assign work with the HCM Delivery Lead, and provide technical guidance while the HCM Delivery Lead oversees execution through completion.
- Support portfolio demand and prioritization governance by assessing Workday HCM feasibility, dependencies, risks, effort, and technical sequencing.
- Provide oversight of major Workday HCM initiatives, ensuring solution decisions account for user experience, business process, change, adoption, and broader people and organizational impacts, while empowering functional, technical, integration, analytics, and support leaders to manage execution.
