KBR is seeking a Communications & Engagement Specialist to support internal and external communications activities for a multi-billion-dollar greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing project. This role will help ensure consistent, accurate, and timely communication across project teams, stakeholders, contractors, community organizations, and government entities throughout the project lifecycle.  The Communications & Community Engagement Specialist supports execution of the project's stakeholder communications and community relations program. • Coordinate and deliver clear, accurate, and consistent communications to project teams, leadership, and functional stakeholders through newsletters, announcements, presentations, town halls, dashboards, and digital communication platforms.
  • Prepare executive-level communications, briefing materials, leadership presentations, key messages, speeches, and stakeholder updates to support project governance, decision-making, and leadership engagement.
  • Support engagement activities with local communities, economic development organizations, educational institutions, government representatives, and other external stakeholders to promote project awareness and maintain positive relationships.
  • Develop and coordinate workforce engagement programs that promote collaboration, recognition, safety culture, diversity and inclusion, team-building, and employee involvement across the project organization.
  • Partner with project leadership and functional teams to support change management initiatives by developing communication campaigns, stakeholder impact assessments, and engagement activities that facilitate adoption of project-related changes.
  • Plan and execute project events, milestone celebrations, site visits, leadership meetings, public forums, groundbreaking ceremonies, commissioning events, and other stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Create, edit, and manage high-quality communications content across multiple channels, including articles, visual materials, presentations, videos, digital signage, intranet platforms, and social media content where appropriate.
  • Establish mechanisms to gather stakeholder feedback, measure communication effectiveness, track engagement performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations to project leadership.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in project communications, corporate communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement, or a related role.

  • Excellent written, verbal, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and other communication and collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience supporting executive communications and event coordination is desirable.
