Your job

As an AI & Data Intern, you will become part of one of our project or capability teams. You won’t simply be given an isolated academic exercise: wherever possible, you will contribute to a real business challenge, client project, prototype or AI solution alongside experienced Accenture colleagues.

Your internship will give you the opportunity to see first-hand how AI is built and applied in a professional environment including the technical challenges, but also topics such as business value, user needs, security, Responsible AI, testing, governance and change management.

Depending on your background, interests and the project you join, you may:

• Contribute to real AI & Data projects, working together with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Data Engineers, Architects, Consultants and client teams.

• Help explore and develop solutions using technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision or advanced analytics.

• Work with data: exploring datasets, developing analyses, preparing data, building prototypes or supporting the development and evaluation of AI models.

• Experiment with LLMs and AI agents, including prompting, RAG, tool use, evaluation and other techniques used to build reliable enterprise AI solutions.

• Help translate a business challenge into an AI or Data use case and understand how technical choices connect to actual user and business needs.

• Participate in different stages of the project lifecycle: from problem definition and experimentation to design, development, testing, evaluation and potentially deployment.

• Learn how AI solutions are developed within the realities of a large organization, taking into account areas such as security, privacy, Responsible AI, architecture, scalability and regulation.

• Use modern AI tools in your own daily work to research, prototype, analyze information and accelerate the creation of deliverables.

• Share your findings and present your work to your project team and other stakeholders.

You will receive guidance from experienced colleagues throughout your internship. At the same time, we expect you to be curious, take initiative, ask questions and gradually take ownership of your work.

The exact focus of your internship will depend on your skills and interests. Some internships will be more technical and engineering-oriented, while others may focus more on AI strategy, functional analysis, data analysis or project delivery.

Your Team

You will join Accenture’s AI & Data practice in Belgium, a community of professionals working at the intersection of business, data and technology. We help organizations use Data and AI to reinvent how they operate, make decisions, serve their customers and create new products and services.

Our teams work with clients across industries including Financial Services, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, Industrial, Telecommunications, Resources and Public Services. This variety means you can experience something that is difficult to reproduce in an academic environment: applying AI to complex real-world problems, with real data, real users and real constraints.

You will work in a diverse and collaborative environment alongside colleagues with backgrounds ranging from Data Science and Computer Science to Engineering, Business and Strategy. Your background

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything about AI. We are looking for people who are curious, motivated and eager to learn.

You are:

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Business Engineering or another relevant field.

• Passionate about AI, Data and technology and interested in understanding how they can be applied to real-world problems.

• Analytical and comfortable breaking down complex problems into manageable pieces.

• Curious and willing to learn new technologies, methods and industries quickly.

• Comfortable working as part of a team and open to giving and receiving feedback.

• Able to communicate your ideas clearly and willing to interact with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• You’re perfectly fluent in English, Dutch/French and can express yourself in French/Dutch;
