About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the overall performance and day-to-day operations of a full-service banking branch. This position is responsible for driving business development, growing customer relationships, achieving branch sales goals, and leading a high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in branch banking, commercial banking, business development, and/or commercial lending, along with proven leadership and customer relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall sales, service, and operational performance of the branch.
- Develop and execute branch business plans to achieve growth, revenue, and profitability goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective consumer and commercial banking clients.
- Generate new business through outbound business development, client referrals, networking, and community engagement.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and financial solutions.
- Partner with internal product specialists and business teams to expand client relationships and cross-sell banking services.
- Monitor branch sales and customer service performance against established goals and objectives.
- Recruit, train, coach, and manage branch employees while promoting a strong sales and service culture.
- Oversee employee performance, work assignments, development, and daily branch activities.
- Ensure branch operations comply with internal policies, procedures, applicable laws, and banking regulations.
- Maintain appropriate controls over branch assets, records, loan collateral, and securities.
- Prepare and review required financial, operational, and regulatory reports.
- Represent the bank at community events, business organizations, and networking activities to develop relationships and generate new business.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of banking or related financial services experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience with strong knowledge of commercial lending and/or banking products.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, including balance sheets.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, senior management, and community partners.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus.
Compensation
Base Salary: $67,000 – $120,000 per year
Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and work location.
