Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Flux Core Welders for projects located in or around West Jordan, UT. This is a night shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience plus $120/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the Jobsite. Job Scope:
- Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, and fabricated assemblies
- Weld light and heavy structural steel in a fabrication shop environment
- Complete structural steel prefabrication for data center projects
- Perform FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) in accordance with project specifications
- Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, structural prints, and weld symbols
- Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
- Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
- Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by project needs
Requirements:
- Previous structural steel welding experience required
- Strong FCAW (Flux-Core Arc Welding) experience
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols
- Experience working with heavy structural steel and fabricated assemblies preferred
- Experience working from WPS requirements
- AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications preferred
- Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged
- Ability to meet welding quality and production standards
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment
