About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Civil 3D CAD Operator to support a U.S.-based engineering firm with the preparation of existing conditions plans from field survey data.
The ideal professional has strong land surveying knowledge, hands-on Civil 3D experience, and the ability to produce accurate, well-organized drawings independently while following established CAD standards and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and update existing conditions plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Interpret and process field survey data, including survey points, point files, and coordinate and rotation information.
- Import, organize, and manage survey points in Civil 3D.
- Create and manage surfaces and related Civil 3D elements.
- Maintain consistent layer organization, drawing standards, and CAD workflows.
- Review drawings for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to clarify requirements and incorporate feedback.
- Manage assigned tasks and track time through a project management platform.
- Meet agreed deadlines and deliver high-quality drawings with limited supervision.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience as a Civil 3D CAD Operator, Civil CAD Technician, Survey CAD Technician, or similar professional.
- Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Experience supporting land surveying projects, particularly interpreting and using field survey points in Civil 3D.
- Ability to prepare existing conditions plans from field survey data.
- Experience creating and managing Civil 3D surfaces.
- Ability to interpret point files and coordinate and rotation information.
- Strong understanding of CAD standards, layer management, and drawing organization.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Access to a personal Autodesk Civil 3D license.
- Professional working English, written and spoken.
- Core overlap availability with the engineering team; specific hours and time zone will be confirmed during the selection process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting civil engineering or land development projects.
- Previous experience collaborating with U.S.-based engineering firms.
- Familiarity with remote collaboration and project management platforms.

You quickly learn the team’s drawing standards and workflows, accurately translate field survey data into existing conditions plans, and consistently deliver complete, well-organized drawings with limited supervision.
