Why this role matters
In your first year, you will ensure the right balance of manpower and output to boost employee productivity at our manufacturing site. This role is crucial for maintaining a skilled and stable workforce that meets production demands and quality standards. You will manage relationships with the labour union and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment of interests. Your work supports Flora Food Group’s mission to deliver better food by enabling efficient, reliable production through strong people management.
What you'll do
- Manage the full spectrum of people and organization functions at the factory, including industrial relations, compensation, talent management, and general affairs.
- Build and maintain harmonious relations with the labor union, ensuring open communication and mutual understanding.
- Oversee external relations to ensure compliance and positive engagement.
- Monitor and optimize labor productivity by aligning manpower with production needs and managing workforce costs.
- Track key workforce metrics such as quality of hire, turnover, overtime, and absenteeism to support continuous improvement.
Performance
You will own the delivery of workforce stability and productivity, measured by quality of hire, labor productivity, employee turnover, and overtime rates. Your data-driven approach will ensure the right competencies are in place to meet production standards while controlling labor costs. Your decisions will directly impact operational efficiency and the plant’s ability to meet production targets.
Care
This role reports to the Head of HR – ANZ, Far East & Southeast Asia and works closely with the Head of Manufacturing and the manufacturing team. You will operate within a lean, efficient team, fostering responsible leadership and sustainable workforce practices. Your focus on long-term workforce capability and positive labor relations supports a stable and motivated manufacturing environment.

About you
You have proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a manufacturing setting, ideally within a multinational company. You are comfortable managing large blue-collar workforces and skilled in industrial relations and talent management. Your communication skills in English are strong, and you are proficient with office automation and ERP systems, especially Success Factors. You work independently with maturity and tenacity, able to present business cases and solve problems effectively.
