Automotive Mechanic II
The Jefferson County Highway Department is currently seeking applications for an Automotive Mechanic II.
Salary Range: $24.62 - $30.40 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
- (A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered technical school or college with an associate's degree or certificate in motor equipment technology or mechanics; OR
- (B) Graduation from a high school technical or vocational program in motor equipment mechanics and one year of experience as a skilled automotive mechanic; OR
- (C) Three years of experience in (B) above; OR
- (D) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Possession of a valid New York State Operator's Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), class A or B.
- Possession of a Motor Vehicle Inspector's Certificate issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
