You also have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Excel, and are willing to develop your understanding of technical drawings, equipment and testing procedures.

You take ownership of your learning, are proactive, open to feedback and approach your work with a methodical mindset. You’re just as happy using your own initiative as you are contributing to a team, and you communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors. You’re comfortable asking questions, following instructions and learning new skills, with a genuine interest in progressing within a laboratory environment and building your confidence and technical knowledge over time.
