SUMMARY
The Manager, Sales Communications leads the Sales Communications team and translates Sales priorities, organizational objectives, and executive direction into clear, audience-focused communication strategies and messaging. Serving as a strategic advisor to Sales leadership and key stakeholders, the role oversees communication planning, message strategy, editorial direction, and execution to strengthen alignment, support change adoption, and connect leadership priorities to the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads complex, cross-functional communication initiatives through strong business acumen, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and organizational influence.
- Consults with Sales leadership and key stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify communication objectives, and develop and execute strategic communication plans that support Company business objectives.
- Translates Sales priorities, executive direction, organizational changes, policies, processes, campaign launches, performance information, and other complex business initiatives into clear communication strategies, narratives, plans, and audience-appropriate messages that drive awareness, understanding, engagement, and adoption.
- Oversees recurring Sales communication channels, newsletters, distribution processes, communication processes, and supporting assets to ensure consistent and effective execution.
- Leads field, change, executive, crisis, recognition, and other organizational communications supporting the Sales organization.
- Advises Sales leadership and key stakeholders on messaging, audience personas, segmentation, timing, delivery, and effectiveness while overseeing message architecture, editorial direction, editorial calendars and review processes.
- Works with Marketing department to ensure corporate brand guidelines are upheld and ensure brand alignment between internal and external messaging.
- Streamlines sales communications by documenting and updating communication processes, procedures and delivery strategies.
- Leads communication strategy and script development for multimedia programming, conferences, InCompass, Fall Campaign, Inspire Salescast and other high-visibility Sales events.
- Writes executive summary and synthesizes departmental submissions and supporting board-level narratives to create the Sales Development & Operations Quarterly Report.
- Oversees the management of the sales professional headshot library.
- Leads, develops, coaches, and mentors the Sales Communications team; establishes priorities, allocates resources, supports career development, and maintains high standards for strategy, writing, editing, and execution.
- Builds strong cross-functional relationships across the enterprise to align messaging, coordinate communication efforts, and support Company business objectives.
- Monitors and analyzes communication effectiveness measures, using channel data, stakeholder feedback, and audience insights to improve strategy and execution.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field is required.
- Seven to ten years of work-related experience is required.
- Demonstrated ability to understand business strategy, organizational priorities, executive objectives, and complex business, operational, and performance information and translate them into clear, concise, accurate, and audience-appropriate communication strategies and deliverables.
- Significant experience developing internal and executive communications, sales messaging, communication plans, presentations, scripts, and high-visibility leadership materials.
- Strong business acumen and project management capability, with a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, establish priorities, exercise sound judgment, and manage work from strategy through execution.
- Exceptional writing, editing, verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-management skills.
- Thorough understanding of the PEO industry and Insperity’s products, services, and business operations, along with a strong understanding of B2B sales processes and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders, influence stakeholders, resolve differences constructively, and build alignment across organizational levels.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to anticipate communication needs, risks, dependencies, and audience reactions.
- Leadership and talent-development expertise, including the ability to recruit, coach, develop, motivate, and manage a high-performing team.
- Ability to work independently, balance competing priorities, quickly learn and apply new business concepts, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and enterprise collaboration tools.
