Group/Division

The Cybersecurity group is part of the Legal department at KLA and involved in every aspect of the global business. The group defends against cyber attacks and provides tools, incident response services and assessment capabilities to safeguard the environments that support essential KLA operations. We are passionate about identifying adversarial activities and anticipating a wide variety of threats to strengthen our defenses and protect KLA intellectual property.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a global team of cybersecurity analysts responsible for 24x7 monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents.
• Develop and maintain SOC processes, playbooks, and escalation procedures to ensure consistent and effective incident handling.
• Oversee and recommend tuning and optimization of security tools including SIEM, EDR, DLP, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Coordinate and lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis, containment, and post-incident reviews.
• Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to SOC team members to foster professional growth and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align SOC operations with business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and report on key SOC metrics, threat trends, and operational performance to senior leadership.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve detection and response capabilities.
• Partner with other KLA Cyber divisions and act as a regional liaison to support cyber initiatives with IT and KLA Business Units across the entire Asia Pacific Region

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within a SOC or incident response team.
• Expert oral and written proficiency in English
• Proven expertise in incident detection, response, and threat hunting across diverse environments.
• Strong understanding of security technologies including SIEM, EDR, AV, IDS/IPS, DLP, and forensic tools.
• Experience developing and implementing SOC strategies, KPIs, and operational improvements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, or similar are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, CRA) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% as needed.
