Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Junior / £40,000 Experienced (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours per day

 

About the Role

My client is a creative exhibition design and build company based in Luton, specialising in bespoke exhibition stands and displays.

They are looking for an Estimator to join their team, with opportunities for both junior and experienced candidates.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate costings and budgets for a variety of bespoke projects. Every project is different, so this role requires someone who can understand technical designs, assess costs and think practically rather than simply follow standard pricing.

Previous estimating experience within exhibitions, events or manufacturing would be beneficial. However, my client will also consider candidates from project management, production, architecture or accounting backgrounds who have strong numerical and analytical skills.

 

What You'll Do

• Prepare cost estimates for new exhibition projects and re-installations.

• Review technical drawings and assess materials, manufacturing and installation costs.

• Liaise with the Sales Team to understand project requirements.

• Produce detailed costing sheets using internal software.

• Manage multiple projects and prioritise deadlines.

• Work closely with Sales, Project Management and Operations teams.

• Ensure estimates are accurate, practical and within budget.

 

What We're Looking For

• Estimating experience would be beneficial, ideally within exhibitions, events or bespoke manufacturing.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

• Confident working with figures, calculations and costings.

• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.

• Able to manage your own workload and work to deadlines.

• Good communication skills and a flexible, practical approach.
