Description
Overview
At Pure Dentistry, we don't call the people we care for "patients." We call them guests. Everything we do is built around giving each guest the best imaginable dental experience: a warm welcome by name, a team that anticipates their needs, and care that respects their right to understand their options and choose for themselves.
That experience doesn't stop at the treatment chair. It continues when a guest calls with a billing question, when an insurance claim gets resolved on the first try, and when their account is clean, accurate, and explained kindly. That's where you come in.
Compensation: $28 - $30 per hour, based on experience

Who We're Looking For
You're the person who loves the satisfaction of a reconciled ledger and the voice on the phone that makes someone's day easier. You can read an EOB the way some people read a novel. You also understand that behind every claim is a real person who trusted us with their care. You take pride in getting the details right because you know what it means for the guest and for the team.
What You'll Do
Be the Warm Voice of Pure
- Greet callers by name whenever possible, and help guests, referring offices, and insurance representatives with care and professionalism
- Assist with scheduling, messages, and timely follow-up so nothing falls through the cracks
- Handle questions about benefits and balances calmly and without blame. When something goes wrong, you listen, apologize, solve it, and thank them.
Own the Revenue Cycle from Start to Finish
- Verify eligibility and benefits, then prepare and submit accurate claims with the right CDT codes, narratives, radiographs, and documentation
- Post insurance payments from EOBs, ERAs, and EFTs, and reconcile adjustments, write-offs, and patient responsibility
- Work aging reports, follow up on outstanding and denied claims, and correct and resubmit when needed
- Spot underpayments, discrepancies, trends, and bring ideas for improving our process
- Partner with the clinical team to gather what a claim needs, so the guest never feels friction
Be Part of Team Pure
- Join our morning huddles and stay connected to the day's flow
- Practice "lateral service": set your teammates up for success, and pitch in where the work needs you
- Use any quiet moments to help guest retention, reactivation, and the rest of the team
What You Bring
- 3+ years of dental office experience, including hands-on insurance billing, claims, and payment posting
- Working knowledge of CDT codes, EOBs, ERAs, EFTs, contractual adjustments, and denial management
- Experience in dental practice management software (Open Dental strongly preferred)
- Accuracy, follow-through, and the ability to juggle priorities in a busy practice
- Warm, clear communication on the phone and in writing
- A solid understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
- A positive, team-first attitude, and the habit of leaving the rest of the day's noise at the door
