This role requires full time on site presence.

As CBC News prioritizes the needs of mobile and streaming audiences and delivers content that aligns with our strategic objectives, we are looking for a Senior Producer of Video Experience to help connect our content with those audiences.

You will assign, supervise and develop staff running our priority video channels, with a focus on YouTube, TikTok and vertical video.

As a strong editorial leader, you know how to package compelling video and optimize it for audience reach and engagement. You bring a deep understanding of platform behaviours, video formats, publishing best practices, SEO, comments and moderation as well as audience needs and expectations. You can clearly communicate those needs to a news operation producing daily news video.

Through assignments, publishing and other editorial work, you ensure accuracy and balance, as well as compelling visual direction and storytelling on CBC News-branded channels. As a strong critical thinker, you make decisions in line with the CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices and the overall audience strategy.

You drive the editorial agenda on our video channels by responding to audience needs and trends and innovate to grow the audience. You prioritize the audience’s needs. You inspire others to do the same.

Collaborative work is vital in this role as you nurture relationships across the News, Local & Current Affairs division to achieve shared goals. You strengthen our team with inclusive, creative ideas, and encourage open discussions.

You care about the people you work with and have a deep appreciation for different perspectives, opinions and experiences. You live and promote the values of diversity and an inclusive and respectful work culture.
