GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Manager, Practice Excellence & Clinical Stewardship supports the implementation of clinical excellence initiatives across the organization. Working closely with clinical leaders and hospital management, the role facilitates the adoption of evidence-based practices, quality improvement initiatives, clinical stewardship and physician engagement activities.

The Manager serves as the primary coordinator including MCCN, ensuring effective use of available resources and supporting collaboration between physicians, hospital departments, Clinical Stewardship program and including MCCN representatives to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Responsibilities

Practice Excellence

  • Support the implementation of clinical excellence and evidence-based practice initiatives.

  • Coordinate the development and review of clinical pathways, protocols, and best practices.

  • Work with clinical departments to support quality improvement, patient safety, and patient experience initiatives.

  • Assist with accreditation, regulatory compliance, and clinical governance activities.

  • Promote continuous learning and sharing of best practices among medical staff.

Clinical Governance, Clinical Stewardship and Quality Improvement.

  • Coordinate quality improvement projects based on organizational priorities.

  • Support clinical audits, peer reviews, and performance improvement activities.

  • Monitor clinical quality indicators and assist departments in implementing improvement actions.

  • Collaborate with Quality, Nursing, Allied Health, and Operations teams to support clinical governance initiatives.

Medical Staff Engagement

  • Work with department heads to encourage physician participation in quality and practice improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate physician education, training, and knowledge-sharing activities.

  • Support onboarding and orientation of new medical staff related to clinical standards and MCCN resources.

  • Promote multidisciplinary collaboration across departments.

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives related to clinical excellence.

  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical practices through innovation and evidence-based approaches.

  • Participate in organization-wide projects that enhance patient care and operational effectiveness.

  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management and relevant committees.

Mayo Clinic Care Network (MCCN)

  • Act as the main liaison between the organization and the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

  • Promote and support the utilization of MCCN resources such as AskMayoExpert, eConsults, educational programs, and Healthcare Consulting.

  • Coordinate MCCN meetings, educational sessions, and collaborative projects.

  • Facilitate communication between Mayo Clinic representatives and internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor and report MCCN utilization and support initiatives to maximize its value.

  Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by immediate superior or hospital management.

JOB REQUIREMENT :

Education:

  • Medical Degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent).

  • Registered and licensed medical practitioner in good standing.

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field is an advantage.

Knowledge and Experiences:

  • 2-5 years of clinical practice experience.

  • Experience in clinical quality, medical affairs, clinical governance, or healthcare management.

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Familiarity with healthcare accreditation standards and evidence-based medicine.
