Preschool Teacher for 3-Year-Olds at YMCA
Join our dedicated team at the YMCA as a Preschool Teacher, where you will have the opportunity to positively influence the development of young children in a nurturing and engaging environment. We are seeking a passionate and caring professional who is committed to fostering a love of learning and supporting the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of preschoolers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children
- Observe and assess children's developmental progress and communicate with parents and guardians regularly
- Support children's emotional well-being and encourage positive behavior
- Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum and classroom strategies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and educational materials
- Ensure compliance with all safety and licensing regulations

Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- DCF 45 hours
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
