Job Description
The Service Associate plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and support to clients, ensuring their banking needs are met efficiently and professionally. This position involves handling various customer transactions and inquiries, contributing to a positive and seamless banking experience.
Job Responsibilities
* Process a wide range of customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, bill payments, and foreign exchange.
* Respond to customer inquiries regarding bank products, services, account information, and general banking procedures in a knowledgeable and helpful manner.
* Identify and escalate complex customer issues or complaints to appropriate supervisors or departments for resolution.
* Assist customers with account opening, closures, and other account maintenance requests.
* Educate customers on the use of digital banking channels and self-service options.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of all bank products, services, policies, and procedures.
* Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards and internal bank guidelines.
* Promote and cross-sell suitable bank products and services to customers when appropriate, based on their needs.
* Ensure the accuracy of all documentation and data entry.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve branch service targets and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
• SPM or Diploma holder in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in a similar capacity in the financial industry.
• Experience in managing people and projects.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant banking systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL process would be advantageous.
