Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester

 Aka Recruitment are excited to be working with a fantastic client of ours to bring you this exciting Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester position for a busy workshop based in Huddersfield. Working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.15pm, you will be rewarded with a competitive basic salary up to £41k. There are no weekend hours with this role, wtih the option to also have flexible start and finish times

Job Duties Include:

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
• Perform MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations (where qualified)
• Diagnose vehicle faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required
• Repair and replace mechanical and electrical components efficiently
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard within agreed timescales
• Accurately complete job cards and relevant workshop documentation
• Work closely with the Service Advisors to communicate repair requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and manufacturer procedures
• Contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade
• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Current MOT Tester Licence (preferred, although training may be available for the right candidate)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
