Full-Time Adult Caregiver Needed in Greenville, SC (29615)
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced Adult Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a wonderful 77-year-old gentleman with early-onset Alzheimer's. He is gentle, sociable, mobile, and enjoys staying mentally stimulated, spending time outdoors, and engaging in conversation. While he manages many aspects of daily life independently, he benefits from assistance with personal care, companionship, transportation, and gentle guidance throughout the day.
This is a long-term opportunity with a warm, supportive family. The client currently lives with his daughter, son-in-law, and two school-aged grandchildren, who all enjoy spending time with him. His condo is located about 10 minutes away, and some days may include accompanying him there, as it is a familiar and comforting environment.

Hours: Between the hours of 8:00 AM-6:00 PM | Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Occasional evenings and weekends if caregiver is interested and available
- Potential overnight shifts when family travels for work
- Rate: $20-$25 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
- Assist with morning routine, including bathing, dressing, grooming, brushing teeth, and shaving
- Provide occasional toileting assistance when needed
- Drive client for outings, or his nearby condo
- Encourage outdoor walks and mentally stimulating activities
- Offer reassurance and gentle redirection as needed due to memory loss
- Prepare and serve family-prepared soft meals
- Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care
- Create a safe, engaging, and positive environment throughout the day
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult caregiving, home health, dementia care, or a related field
- Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia strongly preferred
- CPR Certified (or willing to obtain certification)
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and social media screening
- Provide two professional care-related references
Compensation + Benefits
This position pays $20-$25 per hour for 40 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours through evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight care if able and desired.
