Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Monitoring & Care: Continually observe residents for physical and mental status changes, deliver detailed shift-to-shift reports, and actively collaborate with physicians during medical rounds and 60-day reviews.
- Medication Administration: Accurately transcribe and execute physician orders. Administer and track medications and treatments using a computerized electronic documentation system (MARs/TARs).
- Clinical Procedures: Manage specialized clinical care including oxygen administration, gastrostomy/jejunostomy tube feedings, and complex wound care (including experience with wound vacs).
- Staff Supervision: Oversee, assign tasks to, and evaluate LNAs in accordance with professional scopes of practice. Support the onboarding and clinical training of new staff.
- Unit Operations: Coordinate daily appointments, monitor unit infection control protocols, manage admissions, discharges, or transfers, and oversee the strict counting and safety regulations of controlled substances.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of current nursing experience, with active practice within the last 6 months [Required].
- Setting Background: Previous experience working in travel nursing or within rural/small healthcare facilities is [Highly Preferred].
- Flexibility: Must be fully willing to float across care units based on clinical experience and facility needs [Required].
- State Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing, or an active multi-state Compact License [Required].
- IV Certification: Must be IV Certified [Required] (or completely willing to complete certification during the onboarding process).
- Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Health Compliance: Full COVID-19 vaccination documentation is required prior to starting this contract assignment [Required].
- Requested Time Off (RTO): Any planned time off must be submitted at the time of your initial application and cannot exceed a total of 5 days. Holiday time-off requests cannot be accommodated for this seasonal contract.
