The Part-Time Bilingual Digital Experience Associate on the Jefferson County Public Library's Digital Experience Team supports the operations of our digital library, which consists of several integrated content management, discovery, and e-content platforms.

The Digital Experience (DX) team plans and publishes content, administers digital systems, assists patrons in the use of web and mobile platforms, collects and analyzes data, and generally applies the methodologies of User Centered Design to a complex environment made up of many integration points.

With a focus on designing for inclusion, the Bilingual Digital Experience Associate will support our efforts in digital accessibility, as well as language equity, by expanding our content creation for Spanish-speaking community members. This role will help create and maintain bilingual digital content, support accessible online experiences, and ensure Library information, resources, and services are available to a broader range of users, reflecting JCPL's commitment to providing equitable access to information for all community members.

Description:

Hiring Range: $23.39 - $29.24 per hour.

  • Work with the Web Content Coordinator and Digital Librarian to create an exciting and innovative digital experience for patrons across a variety of platforms and services.  Assist patrons, primarily with questions about third-party e-content databases, resources, and library apps.
  • Perform light data entry and statistical reporting to help inform and streamline services. Assist in maintaining technical and process documentation
  • Contribute to daily web content production and long-term projects that support overall operations, including reviewing and editing content in the CMS and catalog, optimizing graphics for the web, auditing content to inform future development and updating public-facing information on various platforms.
  • Support merchandising of library collections by creating and maintaining lists and digital displays.
  • Position must comply with laws governing patron privacy and confidentiality under CRS24-90-119, and the Code of Ethics of the American Library Association, as well as ADA governing public access to space and technology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish/English is required for this bilingual position.

  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience supporting digital services, digital content, web-based platforms, or related customer service and technology functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency with web-based platforms, content management systems, and digital services.

  • Experience creating and managing content in alignment with brand and style guidelines.

  • Experience designing digital services using user-centered design principles.

  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and commitment to professional growth.
