Job Description

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Access Control Driver in Big Island, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, office spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
