What is the Opportunity?
The Senior Manager, Business Management Transformation is a strategic leadership role responsible for modernization, optimization, and automation across core business management functions including financial oversight, portfolio management, and supplier governance.
The primary objective of this role is to accelerate the evolution of the business management function, deepening our transition toward a more agile, data-driven ecosystem. By leveraging cutting-edge AI tools, machine learning and advanced automation, the success candidate will streamline operational workflows, eliminate friction and revolutionize how the organization tracks and realizes business savings.
What Will You Do?
AI & Automation Leadership
Workflow Automation: Identify, design, and implement AI-driven automation solutions for repetitive administrative processes and reporting. Opportunities include (but not limited to):
end to end process of opening, maintaining and closing projects
creation of work authorizations
project cost forecasting
actuals to forecast reconciliation
Tool Evaluation and Deployment: Assess current RBC AI tools to determine fit for the business management ecosystem.
Change management: Act as a champion for digital transformation, ensuring team members are upskilled and comfortable adopting new AI assisted agents.
Business Management Evolution through predictive analytics and intelligent reporting:
Portfolio Management: Evaluate portfolio health, resource capacity planning, and business demand planning.
Financial Governance: Optimize monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and budget tracking.
Supplier Management: Enhance vendor governance via performance monitoring of non-financial terms.
Reporting and Savings Transformation:
Savings Tracking Overhaul: Redesign the methodologies, tools and metrices used to capture, validate and report organization cost savings and value realization.
Intelligent Reporting: move the organization away from static spreadsheets towards dynamic, automated, AI-powered dashboards that provided actionable insights to executive leadership.
Data Integrity: established robust data standards across the team to ensure the automated reporting is highly accurate and trusted.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
8+ years of progressive experience in business management, operations, and supplier delivery.
3+ years leading operational transformation initiatives, process re-engining or automation projects.
Experience automating workflows using automation/AI tools
Excellent proficiency with MS Office Programs (Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and Word), Tableau and other data visualization tools.
Knowledge of RBC IT project forecasting, development delivery, system maintenance and IT tracking tools (MIS, Plan view, KPI metrics).
Excellent analytical skills – proven experience conducting data analysis/discovery/aggregation as a foundation to providing meaningful analysis and management reporting to facilitate business decisions at a senior management/executive level.
Nice-to-have
Educational background in Finance an asset.
Broad systems management experience.
Experience with operation risk governance and data.
