Job Description

Join Teledyne Imaging Sensors as a Product Validation and Characterization Engineer!
Are you ready to launch your career to the next level? Join our mission-focused team, where we value technical excellence, collaboration, and agility. We’re the world’s leading provider of infrared sensors for space, with customers like NASA, ESA, and the US Department of Defense.

What You’ll Do:

  • Validate and characterize ROIC-based infrared focal plane array products to ensure compliance with design and performance requirements.
  • Develop and execute product validation, characterization, and debug plans across a variety of operating conditions.
  • Analyze test results and generate clear, accurate technical reports that support product release and customer deliverables.
  • Collaborate closely with design, test, systems, and applications engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and optimize semiconductor devices and systems using sound electrical engineering principles.
  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and external customers, including direct customer interaction when required.
  • Maintain strong communication and teamwork while contributing to a fast-paced, mission-critical development environment.

What You Need:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor test, product validation, characterization, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, and current probes.
  • Experience developing automated test solutions using Python and instrument communication protocols such as GPIB, SCPI, or socket-based interfaces.
  • Strong analytical and data evaluation skills, including familiarity with tools such as JMP, Spotfire, R, and Excel.
  • Ability to independently debug complex hardware issues; experience with PCB design/debug, aerospace, military, spaceflight, cryogenic electronics, ROICs, or pixel technologies is a plus. U.S. citizenship required due to access restrictions.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary & Benefits Package
  • Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance from Day 1
  • Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
