Description
The Lutheran Home is seeking a reliable Part-Time Dishwasher to join our Dining Services team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen while supporting the daily operations of our healthcare community. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Wash dishes, flatware, pots/pans by hand or dishwasher
- Store away cooking equipment, utensils, and dishes in the designated storage areas
- Clean and sanitize tables and work surfaces
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in the designated pickup area
- Help to keep the kitchen area clean and in safe working condition
- Sweep or mop floors
- Perform necessary tasks to help us meet the needs of our residents specifically their diet and food preferences
Schedule:
- This part-time position typically works 3-4 shifts per week from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Longer shifts may be available on the weekends. Schedule and number of shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.
Qualifications:
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Able to follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds
- Previous dishwashing or food service experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 16 years of age
